Steven Pienaar welcomed the close of the transfer window saying he could now concentrate on his work at Everton.
The South African is back in his homeland this week preparing for international duty with Bafana Bafana.
But he still found time to send Evertonians a message via his personal twitter page.
He tweeted: "The transfer deadline is over and its nice to be able to be focused on continuing at Everton."
Pienaar has been one of the Blues sub standard performers this year with some pointing to his ongoing contract saga as the obvious reason for the loss of form.
Blues fans will now hope that, with another period of heavy speculation safely negotiated, their star wide man can replicate the performances that saw him voted the Club's Player of the Year last season.
