Boxing: Tyson Fury wants a shot at Dereck Chisora

Tyson Fury said he would “flatten” British heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora after defeating Marcelo Luiz Nascimento.

He used the post-fight interview to call out another of Britain’s heavyweights after already fuelling talk of a dust-up with Audley Harrison.

The undefeated Mancunian improved his record to 14-0 by stopping the Brazilian in the 5th round of their contest at Wembley.

He became the first man to blemish the South American’s record after 14 professional fights.

Fury is ranked 3rd in the British heavyweight division – behind David Haye and Chisora - and next in line for a shot at the Lonsdale strap.

But the 6’ 9” giant later claimed that ‘Del Boy’ was avoiding a title defence against him.

He said: “Chisora has been avoiding me. Ask him why he’s not giving his title up and why he won’t fight me.

“I would flatten him just like I flattened that Brazilian.”

Chisora, who is due to travel to Germany in April to face Wladimir Klitschko, was rumoured to have been present in the arena.

And unless the Finchley fighter can defeat his Ukrainian counterpart, he looks set to face Fury in what could prove to be a classic British heavyweight contest.
