After last week’s thrilling cup victory, it’s back to league action this Saturday as AFC Liverpool travel to Oldham Boro.
The two teams have already met in the league this season, with AFC Liverpool coming out on top at Valerie Park thanks to two late goals from Tod Bamber.
Since then, the two clubs have had differing fortunes on the pitch. Oldham Boro have only won one and lost four of their last six games, which sees them fourteenth in the table. The Reds meanwhile have won five and drawn one in their last seven fixtures, a run which has seen manager Derek Goulding awarded the Vodkat Manager of the Month Award for Division One for October. Congratulations to Derek, Paul Moore & the team for their achievement and long may it continue.
With leaders Stone Dominoes not in league action, this fixture presents the Reds to use one of their games in hand to close the gap between the two sides.
