AFC Liverpool return to league action on Saturday afternoon at 3.00pm with a home match against Oldham Town.
The reds who unluckily made an exit from The FA Vase last week will be keen to return to winning ways to prevent other teams taking advantage.
It has already become apparent that this league campaign could be a tough one for all clubs concerned as no club has managed to put a good run together; however as per last season AFC Liverpool have a superior goal difference to all their opponents having already scored 22 goals in six games. In fact the club hit its 100th league goal recently in less than 40 matches.
Tomorrow's visitors were soundly beaten 5-0 in this fixture last season; however gaining revenge in a 2-1 scoreline at their own ground.
It will be interesting to see if Derek Goulding sticks with the wing back formation that has been used in the last two matches; much of which will depend on the players he can choose from as there were some casualties during last week's cup defeat.
AFC Liverpool Reserves team are also in action on Saturday when they play host to their counterparts from Padiham. (3.00pm Formby Town's Ground)
AFC Liverpool Ladies Team are at home (Childwall Comprehensive School) on Sunday 2.00pm against Denton Town.
Meanwhile AFC Liverpool have organised a Cricket match against Huyton Cricket Club on Sunday 27th September.
The day starts at 12 noon, and admission will be £3 for Adults, and £1 for under 16’s.
During the day there will be the match (players and fans against Huyton), a BBQ, a karaoke and then in the night time we will run an organised Race Night event.
The event will take place at Huyton Lane, Huyton. L36. Any fans/members who wish to take part in the match itself, sound contact fundraising@afcliverpool.org.uk
