The mother of murdered todler James Bulger has held a long and detailed private meeting with Jack Straw in his Blackburn constituency.
Mother-of-three Denise Fergus, 42, was informed more than a week ago that one of her son's killers, Jon Venables was suspected of breaching his parole..
Since it emerged that Venables, now aged 27, had been recalled to custody there has been mounting media speculation about the nature of the alleged offence.
In one BBC radio interview Jack Straw appeared to confirm reports that Venables was suspected of possessing images of child pornography, but on the record Mr Straw has described the allegations only as "very serious".
Before the meeting Denise Fergus said that she wanted the opportunity to put to the Justice Secretary a list of questions that she has wanted answered since she learned of Venables arrest.
A spokesman for Denise Fergus said: "Denise and her husband Stuart had a long and detailed private meeting with Jack Straw at Blackburn Town Hall.
"It was a cordial meeting that lasted for a little more than one hour and it was mutually decided that neither party would disclose the substance of what was discussed."
