A man has been barred from every pub in Britain, after smashing the windows in his local boozer.
Forty-one year old Garmon Thomas, from Weston, Somerset, had been drinking at the Jug and Bottle pub on 11 February.
But after sinking several pints, drunk Mr Thomas then became aggressive and began to smash windows in the bar. He then telephoned police and asked them to arrest him.
When police arrived at his flat in Stradling Avenue, Weston, the drinker threatened to pour petrol throughout his flat, and became locked in a 12-hour stand off with officers before being arrested.
At a hearing at North Somerset Magistrates Court, Thomas pleaded guilty to charges of causing criminal damage, and threatening to destroy property and endanger life.
He was barred from entering any licenced premises in the UK, and bailed until a sentencing hearing at Bristol Crown Court on 10 March.
Barring him from every pub in Britain, Magistrate Ken Freeman said: "Due to the fear of further offences, the nature and the seriousness of the offence, and the fear of failure to surrender, you must stick to the conditions of your bail.
"You are also banned from all licensed premises in the UK and that includes restaurants."
