A woman found murdered at her home has been named as newly wed 25-year-old Vicky Roberts of Runcorn, Merseyside.
Police discovered the body at a flat in Partington Square, Daresbury at around 9pm last night (THURS).
Detectives are now searching for her partner Michael Roberts, 26, who they want to question in connection with the murder. The couple married in June this year.
Another man was arrested in connection with the discovery on Friday, but was released later the same day without charge.
The 25-year-old woman had been reported missing by her family earlier that day, and police had attended the couple's home following a call expressing concern.
The woman's death is being treated as suspicious, and a post mortem is being carried out today to determine the cause of death.
Runcorn Police have launched a murder enquiry, led by the Constabulary's Major Investigation Team.
Police have released photographs and a description of Roberts, and are appealing to anyone who may be able to locate him to come forward.
He is described as white, 26 years of age, 6' 2" tall, with black spikey hair, and black eyebrows.
He is very slim in build, with brown eyes. When he was last seen he was wearing a black 3/4 length duffle coat, dark grey trousers with pin stripes, and black patent shoes, although he may have changed his clothing.
Detective Inspector Andrew Smith said, "I would ask Michael, if he hears this appeal, to make contact with police so that we can speak with him.
"You can contact any police station and speak with any police officer, or directly contact myself and my team on 0845 458 0000. It is important that we speak with you."
