TV chiefs have been slammed for screening a bungee jump in which a reporter screamed the F-word on breakfast TV when children would be watching.
There were calls for Jonathan Swain to be sacked after he came out with a four-letter swear word twice as he dangled on the bungee rope live on GMTV at 8.15am.
Jonathan, 36, immediately apologised to families for turning the air blue but morals campaigners said producers had been "highly irresponsible" to stage the stunt
In a broadcast from a bungee centre in Rotherham, Swain shouted the start of the f--word as he dropped through the air.
Then as he bounced back up he shouted "F**K!" and then said: "Apologies! That was pretty good guys!"
GMTV added an official apology but Dr Adrian Rogers of the Family Focus campaign said Swain should be fired for the outburst.
Dr Rogers said: "This man is a professional person and he should do his job professionally, but he had failed to do so.
"Showing something like this carried a high-risk that this kind of expletive would be used and it was highly irresponsible to broadcast it live as they did.
"There was no chance that it could be bleeped-out so the producers should have known better.
"But everyone needs to be responsible for their own actions and using expletives of this nature on a breakfast programme shows that Mr Swain does not deserve to remain in his job."
A spokesman for GMTV said: "These things happen on a live show. It was a 100ft bungee jump. Jonanthan has apologised and no further action is envisaged."
A spokesman for Ofcom said: "We will examine any complaints that are received."
