Corrie mum Kym Marsh has emerged as the new favourite to takeover from Kerry Katona as the new face of Iceland, after the frozen food giant sensationally dropped the mum of four amid cocaine allegations.

Kym, who plays Michelle O'Connor in Coronation Street has moved ahead of Charlotte Church in the betting and is now 5/2 to endorse the supermarket whose slogan is "That's why Mum's go to Iceland".

Other leading contenders for the role are Kym's HearSay co-stars, Suzanne Shaw, and Myleene Klass, who already stars in a number of high profile campaigns for Marks and Spencer, and VO5 shampoo.

Where Kerry will end up now is anyone’s guess but bookies Paddy Power are quoting Evens she’ll enter The Priory in 2009, 5/4 she heads to divorce court and 500/1 she becomes the new face of Coke.

Sharon McHugh, a spokesperson for Paddy Power, said: "Kym seems to be the favourite with our punters and there are a lot of people who think the former pop star could have it in the bag, of course that could be just ‘HearSay’!"

Latest Paddy Power odds to replace Katona are as follows:

5/2 Kym Marsh
3/1 Charlotte Church
7/2 Suzanne Shaw
8/1 Andrea McLean
10/1 Kate Garraway
14/1 Myleene Klass
