Beatles legend George Harrison is to receive a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame for his tribute to movies and music.
The former guitarist already shares a group star with the other three members of the band but he, like John Lennon, will now have a star of his own.
Despite being known as 'the quiet Beatle' George was massive force in the industry having produced many successful British movies and solo albums.
Harrison, who died of cancer in 2001, composed several of the Beatles' finest songs, including Here Comes the Sun, and Something and Within You, Without You.
It was George's fascination with Eastern music and culture that influenced the band's sound on the albums Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and The White Album.
His widow, Olivia Harrison, and son, Dhani, are expected to attend the unveiling outside the Capital Records building in Los Angeles' on April 14.
A documentary film about the Liverpudlian's life is currently being made by renowned film director Martin Scorsese.
