More than 5,000 pink ladies descended on the famous Aintree racecourse for the annual Race for Life.
The amount of fundraisers taking part was at an all time high and more than £170,000 for Cancer Research is expected to be raised.
Around 3,000 women took part in the first morning race and 2,000 took part in the afternoon race.
Both events were 5k runs and the day was a poignant reminder for Sugarbabe Heidi Range who lost her grandad to cancer.
The 29 year-old singer set the runners off in the afternoon event before taking part with her mum to raise money for the charity.
Maria Montgomery, the Race for Life event manager for Aintree, said: "It was a fantastic day.
"It was very emotional because people were running for loved ones but the atmosphere was wonderful."
