A predatory paedophile, from Holland, moved to live in the Liverpool city region after he groomed for sex a local teenage girl, over the internet.
Kristian Slammet Timmerman, 31, was living in Merseyside, when he admitted grooming the child and possession of extreme pornography.
Dutch national Timmerman was traced by a specialist police unit after using the internet and social networking sites to engage a girl, under the age of 16, in conversation.
Merseyside Police said he had moved to temporary lodgings in the Wirral, after befriending the youngster over the Internet, during which time he had been able to gather information about her home address and members of her family.
He was arrested in Wirral, after leaving her presents and letters in the back garden of her home one night and was subsequently charged with grooming a child and possession of extreme pornography.
