New Liverpool FC boss John W Henry looks to be swotting-up on The Beautiful Game after being was spotted clutching a fans' footballing guide.
The multi-millionaire seemed like he had walked straight out of a lecture rather than a board meeting, carrying a bit "homework" under his arm.
Entitled 'Football and Its Fans: Supporters and their Relations with the Game, 1885-1985', the book looks into the politics and philosophies of football but most importantly for Anfield fanatics - the role of FANS in running a club.
Henry may be going back to basics after watching his new club's insipid derby defeat to Everton on Sunday, which leaves the Reds languishing in the Premier League drop zone.
One onlooker said: "It's great to see him taking an interest, but he clearly doesn't know much about football.
"I hope he is a fast reader. Liverpool FC was formed in 1892 so he's got a lot to get through."
The Boston Red Sox chief might want to fork out on one of author Rogan Taylor's other works while he is busy studying - a book about the Hillsborough disaster.
