A Liverpool region newlywed husband accused of strangling his wife to death before going on the run will stand trial on Wednesday.
Michael Roberts, 26, is charged with murdering wife Victoria, 25, at the couple's Runcorn home in December 2009.
A widespread police search was launched after Roberts vanished when Vicky's remains were found in the garage on the newly-built Swan's Reach estate.
He was found days later after a tip-off from a member of the public who identified him from photographs published in the media.
Roberts was arrested and quizzed by detectives who charged the newlywed husband with his wife's murder.
The 26-year-old will stand trial at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday and is expected to last three to four weeks.
