
Sister of the murdered teenager Shafilea Ahmed has been arrested in connection with a robbery at her family home.
Alisha Ahmed, the 22-year-old sister of Shafilea, was taken into custody by police after her family home was targeted by three armed men in Warrington on Wednesday night.
Ahmed's family were tied up by the gang who raided the home for cash and jewellery.
Shafilea's mother and four adult sibling were tied up while their house was ransacked, one of whom managed to escape and raise the alarm.
A 24-year-old man from Salford, remains in police custody in connection with the incident.
Seventeen year-old Shafilea's body was discovered in a Cumbrian river in 2004.
The teenager's parents were originally arrested on suspicion of kidnap with police looking into the possibility of an 'honour killing', but were subsequently released.
The South Cumbrian Coroner's office returned a verdict of unlawful killing.
