More than four thousand Liverpool fans marched on Anfield before the hard-fought visctory over Manchester United to voice their continued displeasure at the club's current ownership.
The demonstration organised by the Liverpool Supporters' Union, Spirit of Shankly coincided with the visit of co-owner George Gillett and his partner Tom Hicks' son Alex.
Union officials met with Gillett at the ground earlier in the morning.
But the American failed to appease the representatives with his pleas for patience and the protest went ahead.
The owners have endured a rocky relationship with fans since the takeover in early 2007 and the heat shows no signs of dying off soon.
Chants pointed to "lies" told and many banners and placards proclaimed "Yanks out!"
Spokesman Jay McKenna said afterwards "George Gillett inside the ground, Tom Hicks in America, and the rest of the world will have no doubt heard our message.
"Enough is Enough, Hicks and Gillett - Out Now!"
