British Transport Police have smashed a cannabis growing operation "under the arches" in central Liverpool.
A total of three cannabis farms have been uncovered in railway arches associated with the Merseyrail network in Love Lane, Kirkdale.
One of the farms had over 100 plants growing while the second had been partially stripped out.
The third, with more than 100 plants being grown hydroponically and described as one of the most sophisticated operations to have been found in Merseyside, was found in June.
Since then BTP has been working with railway authorities leading to the latest finds.
"We have been able to collect some good forensic evidence which is now being analysed," said Detective Inspector Nigel Goodband.
"We are working with the rail businesses on this inquiry, but would also like to hear from anyone who knows anything about these farms to contact us."
