
An 18-year old has been sent sent to a detention centre after pleading guilty to theft from a Liverpool store.
Sean Graham, of Ash Grove, Wavertree was sentenced to 100 days in a Young Offenders Institute after he was caught attempting to steal a DVD box set from the Zavvi store in Clayton Square.
The court head that Graham was arrested and the goods were recovered. He tested negative for drugs but admitted beaching a previous parole order.
Magistrates said that after the custodial sentence Graham must appointments with probation officers or face immediate return to the Young Offenders Institute.
Graham was sentenced to 30 days detentions for the breach of his parole licence and 70 days for the theft of the DVDs.
