Police are appealing to families with the name Doyle and links to Wexford to help them identify a man named Peter Doyle who died in the Liverpool city region.

Coroner's Officers in Southport are appealing for the next of kin of 64-year old Peter James Doyle, to contact them.

Mr Doyle died at his home in Talbot Street in Southport Wednesday, 3rd February, but it has proved impossible to trace any relatives in the UK.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: "There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding Mr. Doyle's death but the Coroner's office are struggling to locate his family to inform them.

"It's believed Mr Doyle has family in County Wexford, where he was born."

Anyone who has any information are asked to contact the Sefton Coroner's Office on 0151 777 3480.
