A businessman with links to Liverpool killed his wife and their teenager daughter before committing suicide.
The bodies of bank worker Sue McFall, 55, and student Francesca, 18, were found at the family home in Oswestry, Shropshire.
The corpse of Sue's flower wholesaler husband Hugh McFall, 48, was found at an industrial unit in the nearby village of St Martins.
Police, who were piecing together a picture of the final hours of the family, say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
Staff at Liverpool's Wholesale Fruit and Vegatable Market in Edge Lane confirmed that the dead man had been a frequent visitor to the site where he would buy produce for re-sale in Shropshire.
Francesca McFall was known to her pals as "Frankie" and was a popular Sixth Form student at Oswestry School and was studying science.
She was planning to spend part of her summer holidays this year acting as a volunteer woker at hospitals in Nepal.
Francesca had last updated her own Facebook page at 10.16pm - just hours before her body was found at the family home in Hampton Road.
Writing a Facebook tribute her friend Joe Croxon said: "The world has lost someone special today. I just don't get it. She was so nice and sweet and honest. There was nothing bad in her at all."
The woman leading police inquiries, Det Supt Sheila Thornes, said two bodies were found at the property in a well-to-do area of the market town.
Det Supt Thornes said:"At this stage, we are unable to go into further detail. As soon as we are able, we will issue a further statement."
The house was been sealed off and forensic inquiries were continuing while the Mid and North Shropshire Coroner John Ellery has been informed.
