The chief executive of Cream has hailed the company's 2009 Creamfields festival as a success after an eventful weekend in Cheshire.
James Barton told Click Liverpool that "it's been a good show" overall as he took time out from his heavy workload over the two days
The one glitch was the delay in David Guetta's DJ set on Saturday night after overcrowding outside and inside the Cream tent led to fears of a crush.
Barton revealed how he sat in the car with Guetta for 45 minutes while the crowd problems were alleviated before the French hit maker returned to the stage and played an electric set.
He said: "The good news is that we prepared for potential issues, we dealt with it, and there was no major injuries.
"I sat in the car with David for forty-five minutes discussing what to do next and then my head of security came to me and said we'd be ready to go in ten minutes."
On how to avoid similar problems next year, Barton added that it would be wise to avoid clashing with other big name DJs as Guetta did with Tiesto who was performing on the main stage.
He added: "What we need to do is not put two of the biggest DJs on the same night in different parts of the festival.
"It was prepared for but we didn't expect the majority of those people who watched Tiesto to roll into that tent and put pressure on it."
