A man has been shot in the leg outside a bingo hall on East Prescot road.
The incident happened outside the Granada bingo club just before 10pm on
Saturday night.
The gunman escaped on a scrambler bike and was seen heading in the direction of
Huyton.
The man was taken to hospital where he is being treated for minor injuries.
East Prescot road will remain closed until later today while police inquiries
are carried out.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack, and anyone with information
can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
