The RSPCA Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre & Cattery in Nantwich, Cheshire, is looking for loving new homes for five of its long-stay residents.
The furry five - some of whom have been in the cattery’s care for almost a year - have so far been sadly overlooked by potential owners,
but staff are now hoping to find them all forever homes.
Domino, a black and white male, and Phoebe, a black female, are brother and sister and both around 10-years-old. They came in to the care of the cattery in August 2008 when their former owner could not take them into rented accommodation. A quiet, gentle pair, they are looking for a quiet adult-only home where they can be cared for together.
Tiggy is a dark tortoiseshell-coloured female and is around 12 years old. She has been in the cattery’s care since November 2008 when her former owner was no longer able to look after her. She arrived at the cattery a shy and wary cat but has since developed a bright, confident personality and likes nothing more than playing with her favourite toys. She is hoping for an adult-only household with no other pets where she can be lavished with love and attention.
Nadine and Phil were brought to the cattery in December 2008 by an RSPCA animal collection officer after their owner sadly passed away. The cats are unrelated but have lived together throughout their care at Stapeley Grange and are now looking to be re-homed together. Nadine, a
female tortoiseshell around 10 to 11 years old, and Phil, a ginger and white male around nine to 10 years old, are both very friendly and are hoping for a home with adults only or an older family.
Deputy manager Joyce Mellor said: “The staff and volunteers at the animal centre are really fond of all these cats and believe they will make fabulous companions for the right families. All are in desperate need of permanent, loving homes. If anyone thinks that they can help any of our fantastic five we would encourage them to come along to the centre to meet them.”
The cost of adopting a cat from the RSPCA Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre & Cattery is £50 including neutering, microchipping and vaccinations.
The cattery, which is situated on London Road, Stapeley, Cheshire, is open from 11.30am-3.30pm Tuesday to Sunday. To enquire about adopting the cats, or one of the many others in the cattery’s care, please visit the centre during these hours or telephone 0300 123 0748.
