A pair of teenage thugs terrorised a 10-year-old boy at knifepoint and stole his bike on Merseyside.
Detectives investigating the robbery have released CCTV stills of two youths they wish to speak to in connection with the shocking incident.
The robbery took place outside of the Spar Store in Harrington Road, Formby, at about 7.10pm on Tuesday, 21st April.
The brave lad was outside of the shop on his bike when two youths approached him and asked him to swap his bike with theirs. He refused and the two youths left.
But a short time later, the youths returned with their hoods up and one was wearing a mask.
They threatened the youngster with a knife before taking his bike and heading off in the direction of Larkhill Lane, Formby.
The first suspect captured on CCTV is described as white, mid to late teens, wearing a black hooded top with a large white emblem on the front and rear with Adidas written below it.
The second is described as white and mid to late teens, wearing a hooded top.
Officers are particularly keen to speak to a man who was seen getting into his car, in the Spar car park when the youths were conversing with the boy on the first occasion. He may have seen something that could help officers with their enquiries.
Detective Inspector Dave Keegan said: "This is a particularly nasty experience for anyone to go through, let a alone a 10 year old boy.
"We are treating this incident seriously and are appealing for anyone who has any information that could help us with our enquiries to come forward and contact us."
Merseyside Police is appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information to contact 0151 777 3110 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
