An evil sex fiend wore a bizarre jacket with built-in GOGGLES while he attacked a schoolgirl in a terrifying two-hour gang rape ordeal.
As it emerged that the "FACE OF EVIL" coats are in sale in high street retailers, an MP has called for the garment to be taken off shelves.
The teenage victim who suffered a vicious gang rape in Liverpool, told how one of the six-strong group wore the combat jacket which includes the sinister goggled mask.
The 15-year-old told police how she was attacked by six youths while walking home across a disused railway bridge in North Liverpool last Friday.
Having left her friends moments earlier, the schoolgirl was grabbed and thrown down an embankment before being dragged into bushes underneath the bridge.
The un-named girl was set upon by four members of the gang at around 8.15pm and held under the Broadway bridge, in Norris Green, for more than two hours.
After the group fled with her mobile phone, the traumatised youngster staggered to a nearby public phone box where she made an agonising 999 call to police.
Despite her horror ordeal, the victims was able to give detectives good descriptions of her attackers and items of clothing.
Police revealed one of the terrifying images the youngster recalled was one of her attackers used a black 'Location' jacket with goggles built into the hood to hide his face.
Detective Chief Inspector Tim Keelan of Lower Lane CID, said: "This was an appalling assault on a young girl who has been left extremely traumatised by the ordeal.
"We are determined to bring those responsible to justice and firmly believe someone will know who these youths are.
"We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw a group of teenaged boys with a red mini-motorbike or anyone who recognises the descriptions of the offenders and their clothing.
Liverpool MP for West Derby, Bob Waring has condemned the rapists as sick cowards and is calling for the 'goggled' jackets to be banned.
Mr Waring said: "I am appalled at what has happened and I hope the police catch up with the gang as soon as they can.
"I cannot see any reason for these jackets to be worn unless someone wishes to hide their face.
"They should not be on sale.
"I feel very strong about this and will be taking it up personally to see that these garments are banned.
"As MP for the area I know the bridge very well where the attack took place and it is a very busy thoroughfare with lots of cars and residents nearby.
"I am amazed that no one intervened or called the police.
"My heart goes out to the young girl and her family and I truly hope the sick cowards who did this are appropriately punished."
Detectives are investigating whether the gang came from a nearby neighbourhood after they were heard shouting 'Page Moss 09' during the attack.
Describing the gang a police spokesman said: "One of the youths was white, aged 15-16, around 5ft 8ins tall, of broad build with a local accent.
"He was wearing a black, three-quarter-length Location jacket, black and blue tracksuit bottoms and Nike trainers. He wore a scarf over his face, which was black with white spots, and had dark eyes and thick eyebrows.
"The second offender, who was earlier sitting on the red mini motorbike, was white, aged about 17, skinny and wearing baggy black tracksuit bottoms, black, red and white Reebok trainers and a black jacket. He had dark eyes and also spoke with a Liverpool accent.
"A third youth was around 5ft 5ins tall and wearing a black 'Location' jacket with built-in goggles and black tracksuit bottoms.
"The fourth offender, who stole the girl’s phone, was white, around 5ft 5ins tall, skinny, with green or blue eyes and light brown eyebrows. He was wearing a black jacket and Nike tracksuit bottoms unzipped at the ankles.
"One of the youths who stayed with the mini-motorbike was wearing a distinctive woollen Berghaus hat."
Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious or recognises the descriptions of the offenders is urged to contact Lower Lane CID on 0151 777 4564 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
