A Liverpool dance troop has wowed the judges at Britain's Got Talent with a performance dedicated to murdered schoolboy Rhys Jones.
Dressed in ripped goth style clothing and heavy make-up, the 30 youngsters from MD Productions took to the stage with anti-knife and gun crime messages scrawled across their faces, T-shirts and banners.
All four judges, including Kelly Brook and Simon Cowell, gave a standing ovaition to the 9-17 year-olds calling the group fantastic and one of the acts capable of going all the way.
Many of the dancers were pals with Rhys, 11, who was killed walking home from football practice by teenage gunman Sean Mercer, in 2007.
Dance leader Miguel Doforo, said: "Nearly all of the dancers have been victims of violence or are close to people who have suffered violence.
"Lauren, who is 15, has shrapnel lodged in her skull where she was shot.
"A lot of them are from the area where Rhys Jones was killed and knew him well. They wanted to dedicate the performance to him.
"They wanted to perform to get the message across and they did themselves proud.
"The judges loved the act and put them through to the next round so hopefully will the message will be heard by many more people."
