
A man is recovering in hospital after he was slashed in the neck at a pub in North Liverpool.
Police is appealing for witnesses to the serious assault that happened outside a pub in Glovers Lane, on Sunday, April 19, 2009.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "Shortly before midnight officers responded to reports that a man had been assaulted at a pub.
"They found a 28-year-old man with several deep wounds to his neck and upper body.
"The victim, who is from the Bootle area, was taken to hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. His condition is currently described as stable.
"Subsequent enquiries revealed that the victim suffered the injuries during an altercation with another man inside the Eden Vale pub at around 11.50pm."
