Torres power of THREE to overcome injury

Spanish goal machine Fernando Torres is so addicted to computer games he's installed THREE Playstation rooms at his house to help him recover from his hamstring injury.

Torres, who's been ruled out for THREE weeks, ordered the gaming rooms for his luxury townhouse in Woolton, Liverpool - one on each floor.

The LFC hitman also insists on resting his legendary legs as much as possible when he's not on the pitch.

He splashed out £35,000 kitting out his home with the high-tech entertainment centres, replete with giant Plasma screen TVs and surround sound cinema systems.

Fernando, 24, is highly superstitious - ordering three copies of everything he loves - because he believes it is the secret to his scoring prowess.

He even has three duplicates of all his favourite games on the Playstation and X-Box including Pro Evo Soccer, Grand Theft Auto IV and Halo 3.

The striker, who wears number 9 as a multiple of his favourite number - lives next door to International and club team-mate Pepe Reina and regularily enjoys putting one past him during their Plasma screen pitch battles.

An Anfield insider said: "Just like all other great sportsmen - Fernando is highly superstitious because he believes it is the secret to his success on the pitch.

"Nobody was suprised when he ordered three gaming rooms at the house - it is a bit excessive, but he's earned it.

"They live next door to Pepe and they have become very close.

"Pepe used to translate everything he said when Fernando first got here and helped him to settle in.

"Now they can re-live their Euro glory through the computer and Fernando can help get Pepe's hand-eye co-ordination in tip top condition, ready for the season."
