A cyclist has been killed after he collided with a scrambler bike on a Liverpool road.
The crash occurred at 6.30pm on Thursday and emergency services were called to the scene on Walton Lane in Walton after a report of a crash.
The rider of the scrambler bike, a 22-year-old Walton man, was taken to hospital and his condition is described as serious.
The 37-year-old cyclist was also taken to Fazakerley Hospital but later died.
Detectives launched an investigation into the crash last night, and the scene was cordoned off for forensic examination while CCTV was being sought.
