Liverpool Community Health (LCH) NHS Trust has launched a new telephone based Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS).

The new support line, which went live this week, will offer a wide range of patient advice and support. It will also deal with any concerns, suggestions or queries that members of the public may have about any of the Community Health Services which the Trust provides.

This new telephone based service is completely confidential, and will be operated by a Customer Services team from Monday to Friday, between 9.00am to 4.30pm.

Linda Stitt, Complaints Facilitator at Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust explained: “As a patient, relative or carer, sometimes you may need someone to turn to for extra help and advice. Our team will work closely with members of the public to provide that support, and will help sort out any problems or concerns they may have when using any of our services.”

Liverpool Community Health’s services cover everything from district nursing, dental services, GPs and walk in centres, to dieticians, sexual health services, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, podiatry, vaccinations and much more besides.

Bernie Cuthel, Chief Executive for Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust said: “The new telephone support line has been set up as part of our ongoing commitment to providing high quality, patient-centred services to all of the communities we serve across Liverpool, Sefton and the surrounding areas.

“As well as offering help and advice to patients, the customer services team will be able to feedback any comments about any of our services, playing a vital role in enabling us to continuously monitor and improve the overall quality of our health service delivery.”

The PALS Customer Services team are available on: 0300 7900224 from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.30pm (plus a 24 hour voicemail service).
