Merseyside Police are offering residents in Kirkby to join officers on a stroll around their neighbourhood in a bid to tackle anti-social behaviour and crime in the area.
Officers will talk to locals over a bowl of warm soup to discuss their concerns for the area, as part of a new community engagement initiative.
The Inspector at the head of the initiative said she is hoping closer contact with residents in then area can help police in tackling areas of concern.
Inspector Tami Garvey-Jones said: "We are holding a number of these events in the coming months to allow residents to show us the local issues and problems that concern them most so we can take action.
"Come along on the walks to have your say on the way your neighbourhood is policed and help us make your area a better and safer place to live and work."
The next walk will be in Southdene and will take place on Wednesday, February 1st, between 4pm and 5 pm. The walk will start at Southdene Community Centre on Broad Lane.
