
The hunt for a man suspected of carrying-out a knife attack in Lancashire has switched to Liverpool.
Police have appealed for help from the public in tracing Damon Andrew Chadwick, who is wanted in connection with a stabbing in Skelmersdale.
Detectives want to trace Chadwick, 18, over the attack that happened on Acregate in the town around 9.30pm on Sunday 11th December.
The 27-year-old victim was taken to Southport and Formby Diststrict General Hospital where he received treatment for a stab wound to the chest, but has seen been discharged.
Damon Chadwick has family and friends in Skelmersdale as well as the West Derby and Aigburth areas of Liverpool, where he is currently believed to be.
He is described as being white, around 5’9” tall with cropped brown hair and blue eyes and of medium build.
DC Ben Clancy said: “We urgently need to speak with Damon Chadwick in connection with the assault which occurred in Skelmersdale on Sunday 11 December.
“If anybody knows or his current whereabouts or has been in contact with him over the past couple of weeks then I would urge them to contact police.”
