Liverpool's promising stars lent some festive cheer to some of Merseyside's kids this week.
The Reds' reserve side followed in the footsteps of the senior squad as they paid a special visit to Alder Hey Hospital to deliver presents ahead of Christmas Day.
Conor Coady, Raheem Sterling and captain Andre Wisdom led the first visit by the club's second string to the children's hospital in West Derby as part of a club initiative.
Frank McParland, Liverpool's Director of Academy and Player Development, said: "All of the boys and staff have been absolutely fantastic and I am very pleased and proud of them.
"What we are trying to do with the young players is give them different experiences. They are representing the best club in the world so it's important they represent us properly.
"The lads mixed in with the kids and the parents as well, so they showed that they are good kids as well as good footballers.
"We would like to visit here more and it would be nice to do an end of season visit as well, so we are going to speak to the staff here.
"The staff at Alder Hey are absolutely fantastic and we all recognise just what a wonderful job they all do."
Skipper Wisdom admitted that he and his team mates were particularly moved by the experience.
He said: "It is great for us to come down here and show our respect to the kids here at Alder Hey.
"It was a very moving experience and it was so important to be here. It's very positive for the club to do our bit and give as much help as we can."
Christine Done, Head of Fundraising at Alder Hey, was thankful to the players for offering their time to visit during a particularly difficult time for some of the region's sick kids.
She said: "We would like to say a big thank you to Liverpool Football Club for bringing their first-team and reserve team to visit the children.
"It's the first time the reserves have been here and they have all been absolutely brilliant.
"For such young lads to come and visit the poorly children they were fantastic and they are a real credit to Liverpool Football Club.
"They showed a genuine sensitivity and took a genuine interest in the children and their families.
"We are very grateful for the support of the club."
