Young Liverpool FC fan wins xmas competition

A young Liverpool FC fan has scored a special Christmas goal after his design for the club's festive card was picked out as a winner.

Talented Charley Rueby, 6, from Surrey, was among many who entered a competition to select the LFC's Official Membership card for 2011

The competition was open to all LFC Official Junior Members and generated a huge response.

However, it was Charlie's entry, depicting a fully kitted-out Liverpool player surrounded by presents and holly, that was the resounding choice of the judges.

The yuletide card has now been sent electronically to all LFC Official Members and supporters club branches across the globe.

Charlie's father, Dan, said: "Charlie is very pleased and looking forward to seeing his design used!"

The young Red was also mentioned in December's edition of the Junior Newsletter where his design, along with a selection of other close contenders, was showcased.

And that's not all. Charlie has received 10 printed copies of his Christmas card along with an LFC scarf and gloves, thus ensuring it will be a very Merry Christmas in the Reuby household.
