Toy store giants Toy R Us are preparing for a sudden rush on this years best selling Christmas toy - the High School Musical dance mat.
Already flying off shelves the musical movie merchandise is well ahead of its nearest competitor, a Hannah Montana Tour Bus.
With only 7 shopping weeks left, retail bosses have tipped the mat to be this years number one toy having already re-ordered thousands more to cope with demand.
Increasing numbers of parents are flooding into stores to demand High School Musical goodies that are topping childrens wish lists across the country.
In a bid to cater for the hordes of customers snapping up the dance mats, Toys R Us bosses have been forced to set up whole areas dedicated to the latest film.
Having recently released the third picture in the High School Musical series, Disney can already boast the highest-grossing tween movie of the year.
And now it looks as though they have the Christmas toy market wrapped up aswell.
Marketing Director for Toys R Us Mike Coogan reckons the dance mat is looking like it could be the number one toy as the tween market is now one of the best selling.
Mr Coogan said: "Tweens have one of the most diverse ranges of merchandise and are one of the biggest selling markets today.
"We have seen the enormous demand for High School Musical goods aimed at this age group so we have tried to create the ultimate in-store shopping experience for the film.
"The choice of toys this year are the best we’ve ever seen and High School Musical and American teen sensation Hannah Montana are battling it out for the top spot.
"At the moment the HSM dance mats that are in serious demand and look to be the front runner for the Christmas number one."
The #18 mat features all the characters from the film and an easy to follow light console teaches the steps to the song routines out of the movie.
The toy store has released its top five toy prediction for this year which include:
High School Musical Dance Mat.
Hannah Montana Tour Bus.
Baby Annabel Doll.
Ben 10 Watch and Action Figures.
