Daughter witnesses father die in Liverpool region minibus horror

An 11-year-old daughter saw her father die as the minibus he was driving smashed into a central reservation in the Liverpool region.

The driver, 33, from Hindley, Wigan, died in the crash at the junction of the East Lancashire Road and Houghtons Lane, St Helens at 9.10pm on Wednesday.

His daughter,who was in the back seat at the time of the crash suffered a grazed leg.

Police have urged any witnesses to come forward.
