Liverpool region police are gearing up for the arrival of 40,000 festival goers for the 12th annual Creamfields festival.
One of the biggest festivals for dance music fans in the UK, the two-event returns to Cheshire for the third time with officers urging festival goers to respect residents as they arrive and leave.
Motorists are being advised not to rely on sat navs - as traffic signs will point them in the right direction as they get nearer to the site.
Extra officers have been drafted in for the event, which starts on Saturday.
Festival goers are advised to take advantage of the shuttle bus services that are running to the event from Liverpool, Manchester and Warrington, in an attempt to reduce congestion.
