There were several fishy finds at the weekend when Clock Face Anglers and St. Helens Council Rangers teamed up to present an Angling Open Day.

The free event was held at Clock Face Country Park off Gorsey Lane, St.Helens and offered free tuition to all ages.

Similar junior events proved so popular that the Council decided to open it up to all age groups.

Dozens of people turned up at the lake to take the opportunity to hone their angling skills resulting in several fish being caught.
