One of only four World War II German submarines left in the world is berthed at the Mersey Ferries’ Woodside Terminal, Wirral, as the centrepiece of the £5 million attraction U-boat Story.
Visitors get a unique view of the spartan conditions on board U-534 by looking into the cross- sectioned submarine while the amazing story of life on board is told through a highly interactive exhibition that includes filmed interviews with survivors.
Well-preserved artefacts found on board include a rare Enigma machine.
The U-boat Story is open seven days a week at the Woodside Terminal and visitors can combine a tour with a trip on the Mersey Ferry.

And Click Liverpool have teamed up with the U Boat Story and Mersey Ferries to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a family pass (two adults, three children) to visit the U-boat and enjoy a ‘Ferry Across the Mersey’ to get there!
