Sorry to disappoint any boys reading, but you'll just have to stay at home during a very special LADIES ONLY Liverpool Sunflowers Casino night at Liverpool Marina on 19th March.
Liverpool Sunflowers is a local charity based in Aigburth, which provides much needed emotional support to people living with cancer.
The volunteer workers provide a variety of programmes including art therapy, music therapy, Tai Chi and creative writing, all of which enable people to address their emotions in an understanding, safe environment.
A trained complementary therapist and two counsellors are available to talk through the worries and strains of living with the disease, with focus groups run during the evenings to give everyone an opportunity to benefit from the services offered. Recently, a gardening group and a walking group have been set up, to celebrate the ethos of living life healthily and to the full in this year of "Health and Wellbeing".
You can support this vital work at their upcoming Pink 'n' Posh night, hosted at the Harbour Club, promises a champagne reception and canapes followed by casino, cabaret and disco dancing plus a charity auction and raffle to close the night at 12am.
