Liverpool One's fashionable feathered friends have helped to raise an impressive £4,450 as part of the Go Penguins charity internet auction.
After a flurry of bids from all over the world, Feathered Fashionista penguin raised a grand total of £2,700.
The stylish penguin has been a popular attraction since appearing in November 2009. The beautiful peacock design adorning the penguin was the winning design in a competition organised by the shopping mall that yielded over a hundred entries from all over the North West.
In addition Flora, the Cath Kidston inspired penguin, raised a total of £1,750 bringing the combined total of monies raised to £4,450.
Interim Marketing Director, Lisa Tolley said: "We always knew that both the Feathered Fashionista and Flora would do us proud.
"Of course we are sad to see them go but the fact that they’ve raised so much money for the Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal and The Alder Hey Imagine Appeal makes it all worthwhile.
"Go Penguins have really animated the streets for the shoppers and we’ve been proud to be involved in such a creative and worthwhile activity."
