Liverpool's brightest young talents are being offered an unlikely platform to promote their music, thanks to the latest retailer to arrive in the city.
‘KICK’n with LIPA’ will feature upcoming bands and solo artists from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, who will perform throughout the opening in the window of the new store.
It could be a perfect opportunity for shoppers to catch the next big thing to emerge from the prestigious college, whose former students include chart topper Sandi Thom, and The Wombats.
Eddie Lundon, of China Crisis and a music lecturer at LIPA, which was co-founded by Sir Paul McCartney, said:
"KICK’n is a great opportunity for the students to perform in a slightly different environment to what they’re used to and we’re delighted to be taking part.
"Most of these artists play gigs across the city and one of the bands on show, Untouched, has already won a national songwriting award.
"These are the stars of the future and this showcase features a variety of different musical styles."

"It made perfect sense to feature upcoming bands in a store that sells upcoming footwear brands. New and unique footwear brands are an exciting part of our offer and compliment our more established premium products on sale.
"We’re also really excited about it as a couple of the bands have already received national acclaim.
"We see this as being a long-term partnership with the city’s young creatives and look forward to working with LIPA in the future."
Check out Kick'N at Foot Asylum's new Bold Street store on Saturday 17th October, with bands performing from 10am - 4pm.
Students will receive a discount of 20% on the day.
