New Brighton is set to prove that the spirit of the seaside is alive and well with Free Family
Fun Days to celebrate summer, taking place on Sundays throughout the school holidays.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be joining Peppa Pig and friends with pirate story telling and Punch and Judy along the Marine Promenade Leisure Strip giving them a taste of traditional days at the seaside.
New Brighton has re-emerged as a strong leisure destination following a multi million pound redevelopment and facelift including the new Floral Pavilion and purpose built leisure and retail attractions at Marine Point.
The fun days are a must for anyone wanting to take a fresh look at New Brighton and are also set to touch the hearts of young and old alike with reminders of the rich history of the area from the cunning ship-wreckers to the majestic tower that once attracted 500,000 visitors every year.
Tony Hurst ,chairman of ` Resort`,the traders group which is organising the events after successfully bidding for Coastal Towns Funding says;
“We want to highlight the FREE fun and enjoyment of the seaside, and demonstrate the fantastic resort we now have here in New Brighton. The funding has also enabled us to launch a website (www.visitnewbrighton.com) where you will find a comprehensive list of events along the promenade and traders within the area.”
