In Southport Pleasureland’s 90th year, the park will open its brand new open air arena with one of the biggest family parties in Liverpool region later this month.

In association with REAL FM the park will host ‘Pleasureland POPs,’ an evening of music and family fun, starring ABBAsolutely and JLS Adventure, two of the country’s premier tribute acts, together with special guests.

Arena gates open from 5pm and people are welcome to bring picnics, rugs and folding chairs. The Pleasureland ARENA includes generous restroom facilities and an extra-large indoor bar. There will also be a number of food outlets serving the audience. The park’s rides will run up until the main act of the evening takes to the stage at around 8pm.

During the show weekend, which coincides with the Woodvale Rally, the park will also open a dedicated area to rally campers – and offer an invitation for them to join in the party celebrations.

Tickets are selling fast for Saturday July 28th, available from www.southportpleasureland.com.

Single Advance Tickets £10, Family Tickets £30, Single Ticket gate price £15.

The show will support local hospice Queenscourt. Tickets are also available from the Queenscourt Hospice shops in Southport (Bold Street and Eastbank Street) Burscough, Ormskirk and Tarleton.

The night will conclude with the ceremonial lighting of The Pleasureland Beacon, in a toast to the next 100 years of Pleasureland. The event is also a celebration of five years of restoration and reinvention under the guidance of Norman Wallis, the park’s owner for the last five years.
