Sun filled skies brought in over 18,000 visitors to Port Sunlight’s eighth annual Summer Festival. Breaking a new record for the Village, this year’s Festival attracted 3,000 more visitors than last year, revealing that the event is proving even more popular each summer.

The Village Festival, which featured over 100 local producers, live music and dance performances throughout the day, a dog show, fairground and horse and carriage rides to name just a few of the activities on offer last Sunday (24th).

Carol Darlington, Marketing Manager at Port Sunlight Museum & Garden Village said: “We are so pleased with the incredible turn out at this year’s Summer Festival which saw members of the local community enjoying the sunshine as well as visitors from Europe and as far as America.

"It is a wonderful boost for the Port Sunlight Trust to see so many people enjoying this great Village and celebrating its history along with the summer fun.”

The annual festival, organised by Port Sunlight Village Trust, is just one event in a fun-packed calendar of activities including the upcoming Founder’s Day celebrations in September and the festive Christmas Food Fayre this December.
