The sun finally came out when Liverpool ONE launched The Beach.
A samba band, Brazilian dancers and volleyball teams entertained guests at the ‘paradise in the park’ - created by using 240 tonnes of sand to turn part of Chavasse Park into a beach with clear blue sea for kids to paddle in, a beach bar and a bandstand with live entertainment.
The rest of the park offers a range of family rides and attractions.
A Zumba class also took place on Chavasse Park - the first of a whole season of Zumba on the Park, with classes taking place every Wednesday and Thursday from 6-7pm.
The Beach at Liverpool ONE is open until 11 September with a whole host of activities and entertainment including volleyball tournaments, live music and DJs.
Liverpool ONE Estate Director Chris Bliss said: “With so many people planning to holiday at home this year we wanted to do something for summer which really made the most of the park.
“By day, we encourage families to build sandcastles and ride the rollercoaster and by night, we’ve got zumba classes and volleyball for the energetic, plus a beach bar and barbecue for those who prefer to watch the sun go down while sipping cocktails.”
