Thrill seekers are being offered the chance to abseil down Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral, all in the name of charity.
The Cathedral Foundation invite daredevils to abseil 150ft down the front entrance of the Cathedral.
The event began in 2010 and following its success it will now be held annually, as the charity look to raise money for their various projects.
The Foundation works on behalf of the Cathedral as it tries to keep entry free for visitors. Through their fundraising they one day hope to make the Cathedral self sufficient.
Those brave enough to take on the freefall abseil will enjoy unrivalled views of the city and beyond.
Dean of Liverpool, Justin Welby was the first person to complete the challenge and enjoyed an 'amazing' view.
"Although I was nervous this was an exhilarating experience I would not have missed.
"The views of both the building and of the city were amazing; I would recommend thrill seekers to have a go!"
Last year, 87-year-old Cathedral Canon, Michael Wolfe took part in the event and recommends it to adults of all ages.
"This was a real challenge for an ‘oldie’! Great fun, great views and it was completely safe.
"I would recommend it to anyone under the age of 100! A great experience that also helps Cathedral funds."
Registration for the event is £35 and participants are required to raise £120 for the Cathedral Foundation.
