Young skaters and BMX bikers were given a chance to show their creative sides when Hugh Baird College visited Rampworx.
The College’s Art, Design and Graphics tutors showed enthusiastic members of the Netherton skate park how to create and spray paint their own designs onto skateboards, bikes, helmets and t-shirts.
They were also given the chance to add their graffiti art to one of eight six-foot high skateboards donated to Rampworx by the College.
Other activities included having a go at producing music using a mixing desk with the Music Technology tutor and some even took part in mini video and photo shoots guided by tutors from the Media course.
In a thank you letter to the College Paul Hunter, of Rampworx, said: “We had such amazing feedback and are already being asked when Hugh Baird are coming back!”
The team will be making a return visit to Rampworx, the UK’s largest indoor skate park, on Friday 3 June from 5pm until 8pm, and again on Saturday 4 June from 11am until 4pm.
Whether you are a skateboarder, biker, skater or spectator, why not come along, have fun and be creative.
