The Albert Dock has a programme of fun filled family activity for the Easter bank holiday weekend from, 23rd to 25th of April including an Easter egg hunt, Easter Bonnet Parade and special Easter characters.

An eggceptional Easter Egg Hunt takes place around the Dock on the 23rd and 24th April, between 1pm and 3pm. Bring the children along and join in to see how many chocolate eggs you can find. There will be quiz sheets available from the Tourist Information Centre in Anchor Courtyard and when you have completed the trail, hand your completed entry into the Tourist Information Centre to be entered into the draw for a chance to win a family day at Albert Dock (including a meal for four at Gusto, entry into the Beatles Story and a ride on the Yellow Boat Cruise.)

An Easter celebration wouldn’t be complete without an Easter Bonnet parade; The Dock has teamed up with hat maker to the stars Hayley Marsden to create a simple step by step guide to assist families in getting creative this Easter. The Easter Bonnet ‘how to guide’ is available at www.albertdock.com. Once you have your creation ready, come along to the Albert Dock’s Easter Bonnet Parade where Hayley will be on hand to judge the most creative Easter Bonnet. The parade takes place at 12noon on Monday 25th April with a workshop in What’s Cooking? from 10am to 11.30am. The best creation will win a giant chocolate Egg, courtesy of Quay Confectionary.

The family fun continues over at Tate Liverpool where you can put yourself in the picture in an exciting workshop for over 5’s. Explore artworks from the Tate Liverpool collections and make shapes, silhouettes and play with shadows, experiment with light and make some large scale creations in the 4th floor gallery.

Over at the Beatles Story you can create your very own Beatles Bookmark on Tuesday 19th April and Thursday 21st April leading up to the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend. Have a go at creating a bookmark using your very own image in the style of Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club.

If all the eggshilaration is giving the little ones an appetite, head over to restaurants offering special menus; PanAm and Blue Bar and Grill are serving their usual Sunday lunch with free eggs for the kids; and kids eat free with each paying adult. Meanwhile, over at Portico there will be a special children’s menu for £3.95 as well as face painting and balloons.
