Head down to BBC Radio Merseyside's Big History Weekend at St George's Hall this Easter weekend (Sat 23rd and Sunday 24th April)

The event will bring together more than 70 history and heritage organisations to look at all aspects of life in Liverpool including social, maritime, political and family history.

There's also a programme of expert speakers lined up to throw light on a range of historical subjects. They'll be delving into the history that made Merseyside the way it is today and raising questions such as 'What has St George's Hall done for Liverpool'? and 'Did slaves come to Liverpool'?

The BBC Radio Merseyside Big History Weekend is open 10am - 5pm.

Tickets on sale now priced at £4 per day, while under 16s are free.

Proceeds will go to 'Clatterbridge Your Cancer Centre'.

Available from the Heritage Centre Shop here at the Hall or from BBC Radio Merseyside's Shop (Hanover Street, Liverpool.)
